Congratulations to the TCMS Jazz Band!
We are thrilled to announce that the band has been selected to perform at the WVDE's 19th Annual Arts Alive event on May 2nd at the Cultural Center in Charleston. Arts Alive is a special event hosted by the West Virginia Department of Education to celebrate outstanding arts education and student achievements in public schools.
The TCMS Jazz Band has been invited to perform a 25-minute set in the lobby before the Main Stage Performance at 7:00 PM that evening. They’ve been working hard to prepare additional pieces for this exciting opportunity.
We are incredibly proud of their dedication and this remarkable achievement! Way to go, Jazz Band!

The results are in from yesterday’s 2nd Annual TCMS Quiz Bowl! Congratulations to Tyler Consolidated Middle School Team A for taking first place with an impressive 7-1 record. River Middle School Team A earned second place, followed closely by Tyler Consolidated Team B and Shortline.
Both Tyler Consolidated A and River Middle School A have officially qualified for the 2025 NAQT Middle School National Championship Tournament in Chicago, which is unfortunately full for this year. Congrats to our 3-on-3 intramural basketball champs, the Power Puff Boys. Jaxon Buchannon, Cade Heintzman, and Prentice Kanz battled through some tough competition and came out on top in the championship game this morning! Up next, Corn hole!

The 2nd Annual TCMS Quiz Bowl was a great success! This year’s event featured four outstanding teams: Tyler Consolidated Middle School, Paden City, Shortline, and River. After a full day of competition, Tyler Consolidated defended their title by winning the championship round against River for the second year in a row.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Strode and Mrs. Boso for all the hard work and preparation that went into making this event possible. We’re also incredibly grateful to our teachers, technology department, and board office staff who helped read questions and filled the many roles needed to run a quiz bowl smoothly. Your support makes these events special for our students. We can't wait to do this again next year! #KnightsPride

On Friday, Mrs Dunham's class took a visit over to the high school side of the building to see some of the programs students have to look forward to! Our students had the chance to learn about different programs, including the radio/broadcasting studio, the heavy equipment simulator, and the greenhouse. It was a great opportunity for them to get a glimpse of what’s ahead. Big thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

Mrs. Boso’s Discover Your Future class toured the TCHS broadcasting facility today to learn about Arts, Audio/Visual Technology, and Communication. Students learned what courses they can take in 8th grade and in high school and what career options could be available in this field of study.
