Two of our many outstanding teachers, Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Campbell, recently returned from Sacramento, California, where they attended the Building Thinking Classrooms Teacher Institute. After implementing BTC strategies in their classrooms alongside our math department this past school year, they had the opportunity to deepen their understanding with Peter Liljedahl, the author and creator of the BTC framework. Joined by educators from across the country and all grade levels, they spent several days exploring new ways to help students grow into stronger, more independent thinkers. We’re proud of their commitment to continuous learning and grateful to Tyler County Schools for supporting this professional growth opportunity! #KnightsPride

This morning, we celebrated our 2025 TCMS Student Awards Day by recognizing the hard work and accomplishments of our students throughout the school year.
The afternoon was filled with friendly competition, featuring a Students vs. Staff Quiz Bowl Tournament and our annual 8th Grade Students vs. Staff basketball game. The staff came out on top in both events, but the day was a win for all. A great time and lasting memories for everyone! #KnightsPride

TCMS Parents and Guardians,
Tomorrow, we will be hosting our annual Kickball Tournament alongside our first-ever TCMS Olympic Games.
Please make sure your child wears sunscreen, and remind them to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. It’s going to be a fun and active day outdoors!

Today, TCHS Principal Mr. Morris had the opportunity to speak with the incoming freshman - Class of 2029. He emphasized the importance of getting involved early, making the most of the many academic and extracurricular opportunities available at TCHS, and encouraged students to begin thinking and planning now for their future beyond high school. It was a meaningful introduction to the next chapter in their educational journey. #KnightsPride
