Mrs. Goudy's 7th grade Spanish class spent a day in the kitchen making Polvorones! Polvorones are almond cookies that originate from Spain. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed trying something new.

NJHS parents and guests: Doors will open at 12:40. Due to construction in the back of the school, please park in the bottom lot and walk to the front of the building. Follow the steps on the right side of the school. There will be students there to guide you.

Congratulations, Zoe and Andi! #KnightsPride

Today, 8th grade students took their annual trip to MOVTI to explore the hands-on CTE programs they offer that will be available to them as juniors and seniors in high school. This is always a great opportunity for our 8th grade students to begin thinking about their future paths and finding a program they can strive for.

Attention Parents and Guardians: This is a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, April 19 will be a 2-hour early release for students.

Mrs. Boso's advisory students were awarded with a trip to Boggs for lunch today. They were the champions of our iReady March Madness tournament and completed the most reading and math lessons out of all homeroom classes! Great job!

Attention parents/guardians:

Congratulations to the TCMS 6th Grade Band and 7th and 8th Grade Band for earning Superior ratings from all three of their judges at the Region I Band Festival held at John Marshall High School. Both bands also earned almost all As from all the judges in every category. Way to go on a job well done; your commitment to musical excellence is noticed and appreciated by many!

Check out the student interviews from our Mad City Money activity with the West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union from last week! Our 8th grade students were given a profile with an occupation, monthly income, spouse income, children, and debt to be paid off. They made their way through stations where they purchased a place to live, mode of transportation, insurance, "fun stuff", etc., and had to budget their money like an adult. It was a great learning experience for everyone! https://youtu.be/H17Xomg-ioQ?si=7M7qrZRjzfbwvRZX
